Bio-Metal Cool GP

Bio-Metal Cool GP is a general-purpose biobased concentrate designed for use on both ferrous and nonferrous metals.  This technologically advanced formula contains an environmentally friendly, additive system to allow performance in many metalworking applications.  It provides excellent corrosion protection and is non-staining to aluminum and yellow metals.  This (Biopreferredsm,) vegetable based formulation is designed to offer good natural EP performance without the use of active sulfur and chlorinated EP additives making a more economical general-purpose type coolant (For heavier metal working applications that require additional EP, see Bio-Metal Cool HD).  Performance is enhanced by use of the Stabilized* HOBS’s, natural fatty acid composition, which provides cutting tool wetting and oiliness.  The super high viscosity index of the Stabilized HOBS adds additional lubrication qualities to this high performance lubricant.  The formulation is free of diethanolamine, secondary amines, secondary amide emulsifiers, nitrite corrosion inhibitors, phenolic biocides, and nonylphenol non-ionic surfactants.  Solutions are white to off-white and stable in the hardest of waters.  Bio-Metal Cool GP is formulated with a preservative to give long trouble-free service with a minimum of maintenance of its cleanliness.  EPA, OSHA, and worker acceptance is high with the biobased oils.

Bio-Metal Cool HD

Bio-Metal Cool HD is a heavy-duty biobased vegetable oil concentrate designed for use on both ferrous and nonferrous metals.  This technologically advanced formula contains environmentally friendly, extreme pressure, antioxidants, and corrosion inhibitors to perform in many heavy-duty metalworking applications.  This (Biopreferredsm,) heavy-duty formula allows for higher speeds and feeds for improved productivity.  It provides excellent corrosion protection and is fortified with metal deactivator for enhanced performance on aluminum and copper alloys.  Performance is enhanced by use of the Stabilized* HOBS’s, natural fatty acid composition, which provides cutting tool wetting and oiliness.  The super high viscosity index of the Stabilized HOBS adds additional lubrication qualities to this high performance lubricant.  The formulation is free of diethanolamine, secondary amines, secondary amide emulsifiers, nitrite corrosion inhibitors, chlorinated EP additives, phenolic biocides, and nonylphenol non-ionic surfactants.  Solutions are off-white to opaque and stable in the hardest of waters.  Bio-Metal Cool HD is formulated to give long trouble-free service with a minimum of maintenance of its cleanliness.  EPA, OSHA, and worker acceptance is high with the biobased oils.

Bio-Aluminum Cutting Oil

A specially formulated, ultimately biodegradable aluminum cutting oil that replaces light petroleum solvents. This biobased product provides improved drilling, tapping, and cutting of hard to work with soft aluminum and prevents the material from sticking to the tool.  It may also be used on other non-ferrous metal alloys.  Performance is enhanced by use of the natural fatty acid composition which provides cutting tool wetting and oiliness.  The product provides low odor and is non-staining to aluminum and yellow metals.  Components in this formulation are not regulated as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by the California Air Resources (CARB).  The product is not classified as combustible under DOT regulations.

Bio-Aluminum Cutting Oil cSt 4 & 18 (USDA H1)

A specially formulated, ultimately biodegradable aluminum cutting oil that replaces light petroleum solvents. This biobased and Food Grade product provides improved drilling, tapping, and cutting of hard to work with soft aluminum and prevents the material from sticking to the tool.  It may also be used on other non-ferrous metal alloys.  Performance is enhanced by use of the natural fatty acid composition which provides cutting tool wetting and oiliness.  The product provides low odor and is non-staining to aluminum and yellow metals. Bio-Aluminum Cutting Oil is formulated without regulated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and EPA, OSHA, and worker acceptance is high with biobased products.  Components in this formulation are not regulated as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by the California Air Resources (CARB).

Bio-Process Oils (SUS-50, 70, 100, 150, 200)

Bio-Process™ Oils are blended highly refined vegetable based oils (Biobased) that replace neutral petroleum mineral oils in industrial processing applications.  They have been Stabilized* to resist oxidation and provide excellent light color stability.  They are virtually aromatic, chlorine, and sulfur free and may be used in dust control as a dust suppressant.  The oils have been highly refined, bleached, deodorized and are high in oleic acid content for higher stability over conventional vegetable oils.  In addition, they provide excellent compatibility with rubber polymers, mineral and synthetic oils, and provide excellent lubricity for recommended applications.

 

Bio-Process™ Oils are non-toxic, Food Grade, and exceeds U.S. FDA regulation 21 CFR 178.3620 (b and c), for use as paper defoamers, in adhesives, rubber articles, and as a surface lubricant in the food packaging area.  They are ideal for use in compounding a wide variety of finished rubber products where certain performance is desired in formulas.  They also function as processing aids and extender oils in rubber compounding where vegetable oils may enhance the process.  Bio-Process™ Oils are named for their approximate Saybolt viscosity, in SUS at 100oF.

Bio-General Purpose Cut 30 & 40

Bio-General Purpose Cut oils are ultimately biodegradable1, biobased lubricants for light to medium duty machining operations.  Their color can be classified as transparent, which permits viewing the cutting operations while in process and they are formulated to reduce smoke and mist.  Performance is enhanced by use of the Stabilized HOBS’s, natural fatty acid composition, which provides cutting tool wetting and oiliness; combined with excellent extreme pressure and antiwear technology.  The super high viscosity index of the Stabilized HOBS adds additional load carrying properties in machining application.  They are non-staining to yellow metals and may be used for machining both ferrous and non-ferrous metal alloys.  These (Biopreferredsm,) products do not contain active sulfur, chlorine, zinc, phosphorus, silicon, or heavy metals, and do not produce an abrasive odor. 

The advantages are many:  biodegradable, renewable, low toxicity, no hazardous volatile organic compounds (VOC), more fire resistant, safer, EPA and ISO 14000 compliant, reduces foreign oil, and helps secure the American Economy, OSHA and worker acceptance is high with biobased oils.

Bio-Syntra & SynXtra MW (ISO 22, 32, 46)

Bio-Syntra, Bio-SynXtra and Bio-SynXtra LV machining oils are ultimately biodegradable, biobased metal working oils formulated from natural and synthetic esters for heavy and extra heavy duty machining operations.  Their color can be classified as transparent, which permits viewing the cutting operations while in process and they are formulated to reduce smoke and mist.  Performance is enhanced by use of the Stabilized HOBS’s, natural fatty acid composition, which provides tool wetting and oiliness; combined with excellent extreme pressure (EP) and antiwear technology.  The super high viscosity index of the Stabilized HOBS and synthetic base stocks adds additional load carrying properties and corrosion protection.  They are non-staining to yellow metals and may be used for machining both ferrous and non-ferrous metal alloys.  These operations include: stamping, drawing, milling, drilling, turning, grinding, honing, broaching, thread cutting, and tapping.  

Bio-SynXtra LV is a low viscosity version of Bio-SynXtra.  Bio-Syntra provides less EP and is a lower cost product (match viscosities and EP performance below to equipment and application requirements).  These (Biopreferredsm,) products do not contain active sulfur, chlorine, zinc, phosphorus, silicon, or heavy metals, and do not produce an abrasive odor.  In addition, these oils are particularly useful for machining stainless and hard steel, such as Hastalloy and tool steels.

Bio-Syntra LM Honing and Cutting Oil

Bio-Syntra LM (light to medium) Cutting/Honing Oil is an ultimately biodegradable, biobased lubricant designed for honing, lapping, and light to medium duty cutting operations where lighter viscosity oils are required.  It is non-staining to yellow metals and may be used for machining both ferrous and non-ferrous metal alloys.  Performance is enhanced by use of the patented Stabilized HOBS’s, natural fatty acid composition, which provides cutting tool wetting and oiliness; combined with excellent extreme pressure and antiwear technology.  The super high viscosity index of the Stabilized HOBS adds additional load carrying and lubricity properties for many metal working applications.  Applications may include: milling, drilling, turning, grinding, honing, broaching, thread cutting, and tapping (match viscosity and EP performance below to equipment and application requirements).  Its color can be classified as transparent, which permits viewing the cutting operations while in process and it is formulated to reduce smoke and mist.  This biobased product does not contain active sulfur, chlorine, zinc, phosphorus, silicon, or heavy metals, and does not produce an abrasive odor.

Bio-Heavy and Extra Heavy S Cut (ISO 32, 46, 68)

 Bio-Heavy S Cut and Bio-Extreme Heavy S Cut oils are ultimately biodegradable, biobased metal working oils formulated with active sulfur EP (S Cut) for heavy and extra heavy duty, ferrous metal working operations.  Their color can be classified as transparent, which permits viewing the cutting operations while in process and they are formulated to reduce smoke and mist.  Performance is enhanced by use of the Stabilized HOBS’s, natural fatty acid composition, which provides tool wetting and oiliness; combined with excellent extreme pressure (EP) and antiwear technology.  The super high viscosity index of the Stabilized HOBS adds additional load carrying properties.  They are highly recommended for machining steel, stainless steel, and most ferrous alloys, but they are not recommended for non-ferrous metals (staining to yellow metals).  The products do not contain chlorine, zinc, phosphorus, silicon, or heavy metals, and do not produce an abrasive odor.  Operations include: stamping, drawing, milling, turning, drilling, grinding, honing, broaching, thread cutting, and tapping.

Bio-Heavy Duty Cutting Oil (ISO 46)

A heavy duty, ultimately biodegradable, vegetable based, cutting oil which provides excellent performance in a wide variety of machining operations on tough ferrous alloys as well as mild steel and cast iron.  These operations include: milling, drilling, turning, grinding, light and medium duty broaching, and thread cutting and tapping.  This product replaces the use of products that contain chlorinated paraffin additives.  

 Performance is enhanced by use of the Stabilized HOBS’s, natural fatty acid composition, which provides cutting tool wetting and oiliness; combined with sulfur/phosphorous EP and antiwear technology.  The super high viscosity index of the Stabilized HOBS adds additional lubrication qualities to this high performance lubricant.

Bio-MultiPurpose Cutting (ISO- 32, 46, 68)

Bio-MultiPurpose Machining Oils are ultimately biodegradable, biobased lubricants formulated with natural and synthetic base oils for light to medium duty machining operations.  They provide protection in today’s hi-tech machines operating at increased speeds and feed rates and their multipurpose performance helps in reducing inventory and lowering cost.  Their color can be classified as transparent, which permits viewing the cutting operations while in process and they are formulated to reduce smoke and mist.  Performance is enhanced by use of the Stabilized HOBS’s, natural fatty acid composition, which provides cutting tool wetting and oiliness; combined with excellent extreme pressure and antiwear technology.  The super high viscosity index of the Stabilized HOBS adds additional lubrication qualities in industrial gear, hydraulic, and machine systems.  They are non-staining to yellow metals and may be used for machining both ferrous and non-ferrous metal alloys.  The products do not contain active sulfur, chlorine, zinc, phosphorus, silicon, or heavy metals, and do not produce an abrasive odor.

Bio-Mist EP Cutting Oil (ISO 32)

A heavy duty, ultimately biodegradable, vegetable based, mist EP cutting oil which provides excellent performance  where misting is needed in a wide variety of machining operations on non-ferrous metals, tough ferrous alloys as well as mild steel and cast iron.  These operations include: milling, drilling, turning, grinding, broaching, and thread cutting and tapping.  Bio-Mist EP Cutting Oil does not contain active sulfur, chlorine, zinc, phosphorus, silicon, or heavy metals, and does not produce an abrasive odor and is non-staining.  In addition, this oil is particularly useful for machining stainless and hard steel, such as Hastalloy and tool steels.

Bio-SW Slide Way Lubricants (ISO 32, 68, 220)

Bio-Slide Way™ Lubricants are specially formulated biodegradable, biobased products developed for the lubrication of machine tools and slides.  They eliminate stick-slip or table chatter by reducing friction between mating surfaces.  Where ways are heavily loaded they provide super high film strength and excellent EP protection.

Bio-Slide Way™ Lubricants formulations have metal wetting and adhesion properties that enable them to form uniform films that resist squeezing from way surfaces while machine is not in operation.  By preventing stick-slip, the wear of way surfaces is minimized and their service life is greatly extended.

Bio-Slide Way™ 32 Lubricant is generally recommended for dual purpose hydraulic and way lubrication service.
