Penetrating Lubricant™
Food Grade Bio-Penetrating Lubricant™
A
specially formulated, biodegradable biobased penetrant that can be
used as a light lubricant in food processing equipment and is
essentially odorless and tasteless.
Because of the super high viscosity index of the Stabilized*
HOBS, this product performs in many applications.
BPL™’s
patented composition of additives and base fluids provides a
protective, thin film lubricant.
This natural oily film has shown in laboratory and field
tests to out perform petroleum base oils in terms of natural
lubricity. Bio-Penetrating Lubricant Food Grade is formulated to penetrate into close tolerant areas, then lubricate, and prevent corrosion. Bio-Penetrating Lubricant’s ability to creep is demonstrated by placing a 3/8” x 2” bolt on its head with ¼” of Bio-Penetrating Lubricant in the bottom of a lab beaker; Bio-Penetrating Lubricant creeps vertically up the threads. It protects deep into the core of a cable or chain link and is excellent as a light air tool lubricant and preservative oil for parts. This Biobased product has exceptional benefits over petroleum oils in these applications because there is direct danger of polluting the water, soil, or work environment through loss of the lubricant. Bio-Penetrating Lubricantcontains no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Bio-Food
Grade Hydraulic Fluids (ISO 32, 46, 68, 100) Bio-Food
Grade™ Hydraulic
Fluids are multi-functional biobased lubricants that contain
ingredients which are “Generally Regarded as Safe” (GRAS) for food
possessing equipment. These (BioPreferredSM,)
Fluids are formulated to perform in hydraulic systems and gear drives that
require Anti-Wear (AW), anti-rust, anti-oxidation, anti-foam, and
demulsibility properties. They
are highly inhibited against moisture and rusting in both fresh and sea
water and pass both A and B Sequences of the ASTM D-665 Turbine Oil Rust
Test. Incorporating the super
high viscosity index of the Stabilized* High Oleic Base Stocks (HOBS) into
the formula, increases the viscosity index past synthetic levels (Energy
Conserving Formulas). They
can be used in environmentally sensitive areas such as in agriculture,
marine, and food possessing plants. Bio-Food
Grade General Purpose Lubricant SAE 20 Bio-Food Grade™ General Purpose Lubricant, a vegetable oil-based lubricant (non-petroleum), contains ingredients which are ‘Generally Regarded as Safe’ (GRAS) for food applications. This biobased product is acceptable for use as a Release Agent (3H) on grills, ovens, loaf pans, boning benches, chopping boards, canning lids, knife cutting and honing oil, or other hard surfaces in contact with meat, fish, and poultry food products to prevent food from adhering during processing. In addition, it performs as a protective anti-rust film, as a release agent on gaskets or seals of tank closures, and as a general purpose lubricant in applications where there is a very high possibility of the lubricant coming into direct contact with food products. It has excellent oxidative stability and high biodegradability and can be used in environmentally sensitive areas such as in agriculture, marine, and food processing plants. Applications With Incidental Food Contact In and Around Food Processing Equipment Areas:Drip
oilers, air-oilers, air-tools, water pumps, bearings, machine oil, roller
chains, cables, small electric motors bearings, light circulating oil,
etc., and general lubrication. This
product may also be used in light reduction units where original equipment
manufacturers require an ISO 32 or 46 R&O lubricant. Bio-Food
Grade Gear Oil (ISO 32-460) RLI’s Bio-Food Grade™ Gear Oils are for gear drives and right angle gear drives commonly used in food processing equipment; essentially odorless and tasteless. These gear sets do not require Hypoid level of EP and because of this the lubricants most commonly specified by makers of these gear reducers are R&O or GL-3 type circulating oils. ISO Viscosity Grades 32, 46, 68, and 220 meet and exceeds “Military Specifications DOD-L-24651 Lubricating Oils, Food Grade, and Food Processing Equipment.” This specification is approved for use by the Departments and Agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense. ISO Viscosity Grades 32, 46 and 68 meet DOD-L-24651 Type I and ISO Viscosity Grade 220 Meet DOD-L-24651 Type II for general purpose and gear oil lubricants. This specification also requires a rating of USDA H-1 for incidental food contact. RLI’s patented formulas have improved performance over conventional products in terms of oxidation, thermal shear, and fluid film (viscosity index). This super high viscosity index allows these products to be energy conserving in the startup mode and provide improved load protection, reducing wear during operation. They are highly inhibited against moisture and rusting in both fresh and sea water and passes both A and B Sequences of the ASTM D-665 Turbine Oil Rust Test. These products also provide double the oxidation stability over the US Steel 127 test requirement of 125 minutes and shows excellent performance in ASTM D-1401 Turbine Oil Demulsibility with a rating of 40/40/0 in ten minutes.
RLI’s Bio-Food Grade™ Gear Oils have combined Stabilized technology with HOBS and food grade mild EP/anti-wear additives that exceed the load stage 10 in the FZG (DIN51354) requirements for both turbine oils and reduction gears. The results are patented Food Grade1 products which have long life and heat stability. Additionally, they offer the protection advantages of the mild EP and antiwear of an API "GL-3" type gear lube. Bio-Food Grade Air Tool Lubricant ISO 32 (USDA H1) A
specially formulated, ultimately biodegradable air tool
lubricant designed to replace petroleum based air tool oils. Bio-Food Grade™²
Air Tool Lubricant is designed to be commonly used in food processing
equipment as it is essentially odorless and tasteless.
Because of the super high viscosity index of the HOBS, this
biobased product performs in many applications.
The natural oily film of this product has shown in laboratory and
field tests to out perform petroleum base oils in terms of natural
lubricity. Bio-Food Grade GP Lubricant ISO 10-220 (USDA H1) Bio-Food Grade™ GP (General Purpose) Lubricants are vegetable oil-based lubricants that contain ingredients which are “Generally Regarded as Safe” (GRAS) for food possessing equipment. They have excellent oxidative stability and high biodegradability and can be used in environmentally sensitive areas such as in agriculture, marine, and food possessing plants. Bio-Food Grade™ GP Lubricants provide excellent compatibility with many types of rubber, general purpose elastomers, and other materials they may be in contact with. These oils provide short term corrosion protection for metal parts and they are non-staining to aluminum and yellow metals. Their natural oiliness provides excellent lubricity in equipment that does not require anti-wear and E.P. additives.
Applications: Drip oilers, air-oilers, air-tools, water pumps, bearings, machine oil, roller chains, cables, light circulating oil, etc., and general lubrication. These products may also be used in light reduction units where original equipment manufactures require an R&O lubricant.
Base
oils and additives in this product are listed in 21 CFR 178.3570,
Lubricants for incidental food contact (USDA H-1).
Full compliance with other applicable restrictions of FDA, USDA,
oil spill, and oil pollution prevention statutes is recommended.
